Sydney International Speedway Closes Out 2024/2025 Season
Sydney International Speedway has officially wrapped up its most action-packed season, with the 2024/2025 campaign delivering 25 nights of exciting racing and thrilling entertainment from September 2024 through May 2025.
The season marked a return to full throttle for the Eastern Creek venue, with a strong lineup of Sprintcars, Speedcars, Late Models, and support divisions delighting fans and competitors alike.
Season Highlights
The American Tire & Racing Services (ATRS) Track Championship served as the cornerstone of the season, crowning champions across three premier divisions:
Sprintcars: Michael Stewart, driving for Bohud Racing, dominated the 410 Sprintcar field with six feature race victories, securing the top spot in the ATRS Sprintcar Track Championship.
Speedcars: Jay Waugh emerged victorious in the Speedcar division, edging out Alan Day and Daniel Paterson in a hard-fought points battle that came down to the final rounds.
Late Models: Daniel Cassidy of Telarah, NSW, took out the Late Model championship after a consistent season that included multiple podium finishes.
The calendar was highlighted by signature events including the Summer of Speed, Sydney Showdown, a two-night spectacle in January, and the return of the prestigious Speedcar 50 Lap Classic, which brought the season to a dramatic close on May 10. In addition, the Steve Caunt Appreciation Night in March paid tribute to one of the sport’s great contributors, drawing a massive crowd and a strong field across four divisions.
