Hi-Tec Oils Sprintcar Super Series Launches at Sydney International Speedway
Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for Sprintcar racing with the official launch of the Hi-Tec Oils Pty Ltd Sprintcar Super Series at Sydney International Speedway.
Teaming up with Hi-Tec Oils gives us the perfect platform to drive the revival of Sprintcar racing in Sydney and create lasting opportunities for the sport.
Following the incredible success of the Hi-Tec Oils Super Series in national circuit racing, George and his team jumped at the chance to be part of Sydney’s revival, bringing proven experience, passion and dedication to the table.
This is a new approach for Sprintcar racing in Sydney, less is more, with a focus on quality over quantity. The season will deliver fewer but bigger nights, giving competitors the opportunity to race for generous payouts in front of large crowds and national audiences, and giving fans premium events worth marking on the calendar.
Five huge rounds will form the backbone of the Hi-Tec Oils Sprintcar Super Series:
October 11
December 6
February 14
February 28
May 16
Each round will pay $6,000 to the winner, while the series points champion will take home an additional $10,000. The total prize pool for just these five rounds will be close to $100,000.
Add in the Sprintcar Power Tour on January 3, and Sydney International Speedway will pay out almost $150,000 in just six Sprintcar events this season.
Every round will be streamed live worldwide on Motorsports TV’s pay-per-view platform, bringing the action from Sydney to fans across the globe.
In addition to this exciting live streaming partnership, we are proud to announce a one hour highlights package on free to air TV for every round via Speedweek, along with a brand new studio based panel show dedicated entirely to Sydney Speedway. This combination will give our drivers and our sport a level of exposure not seen in Sydney for many years, putting Sprintcar racing firmly back in the national spotlight.
We know the sport in Sydney has faced challenges in recent years, and it is time to move forward. This series is a step towards rebuilding, uniting and strengthening Sprintcar racing in Sydney. While some doubted it could be done, we have stayed focused, worked quietly behind the scenes, and today we are proud to deliver something the whole speedway community can get behind.
Thankyou to all that have shown their support, we are just getting started.
